BCA REGULATION POOL TABLE INSTALLATION!
We install Pool Tables, Billiard, Carrom and Snooker Tables in accordance with BCA (Billiard Congress of America) and the WPA World Pool-Billiard Association regulations and requirements. We have worked on almost every brand including Brunswick, Olhausen, Connelly, Kasson, Vitalie, American Heritage, AMF, C.L. Bailey, World of Leisure and much, much more. If you are buying a table off the internet or EBAY, please make sure that when the table arrives you unpack it and check every item very, very carefully. Our recent experience shows that tables are missing components, damaged wood, rail aprons are too short, slate is broken or insufficient assembly hardware provided. DO NOT STORE or SHIP SLATE FLAT We are Professional Installers of Billiard tables in the Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania area, here are our qualifications:
A PROFESSIONAL QUALITY CLOTH INSTALLATION can only be achieved if the cloth has been properly stretched tight. Poor quality cloth installation results in poor playability and will cause the cloth to move, pucker, wear unevenly, tear or come loose.
Age of the cloth means nothing, if the following are present: VERTICAL CUTS, SLITS or PATCHES in the exposed pocket face with EXPOSED STAPLES, TACKS or NAILS. Obvious wear and tear including cuts, burns or holes. A quality cloth installation MEANS that the cloth in the vertical face of the pocket, (where the cloth turns down from the playing surface) should look the same and as clean and flat as the playing surface itself! Cloth should NEVER be stapled or cut in the vertical face! Cloth should be wrapped and then cleanly fastened under the slate! THERE SHOULD NEVER EVER be staples in the vertical face of the pocket!!!!! The cloth SHOULD NOT BE TRIMMED at the very bottom edge of the slate, this does not allow the cloth to be re-installed with adequate stretch and tension because the cloth is cut too short!
NEVER, EVER try to move a pool table by getting a bunch of guys and attempting to pick it up! NEVER! If you want to crack the slate, break the corners, pop cabinet joints, split rails, or otherwise destroy your pool table, go ahead, move it in one piece. There are NO REPAIRS for cracked slate! Are you moving or relocating? We can disassemble or reassemble your table. For long distance moves, we can custom crate your slate. WE DO NOT PROVIDE House to House TABLE MOVING SERVICE (Our trucks are not designed for moving they are custom equipped to carry tools, equipment and supplies), HOWEVER, WE CAN HELP WITH PROVIDING LABOR FOR MOVING. We can help you with relocating a table in your home! NEED NEW CUSHIONS: The WPA World Pool-Billiard Association regulations and requirements state that the cushions should allow a ball to travel a minimum of 4 to 4 ½ lengths of the table without jumping. It is rare that cushions have to be replaced, the biggest problem is usually dry rot in the rubber on extremely old tables, over 40 years old. Sitting on a table may cause the glue joints holding the rubber cushions to separate. CHECK OUT THE COLORS OF CLOTH WE OFFER: Colors designated as "Special Order" are not in-stock and require a deposit and at least 10 days advance notice to order!
